Poche ore fa l’errore banale di un programmatore (se di errore si è davvero trattato) ha reso accessibile al pubblico un sito “segreto” di Google e svelato al mondo l’esistenza di Google Base, “a new way for content owners to submit their content to Google” (Google blog). La notizia è rimbalzata veloce nella blogosfera come sui main stream media e, prima che i tecnici di Mountain View potessero rimediare al pasticcio, già la rete pullulava di post, articoli ed editoriali sul nuovo servizio di Google.
Le voci coinvolte nella conversazione sono tante e diverse tra loro, ma tutte sembrano essere d’accordo su un concetto: Google Base è il guanto di sfida lanciato dal duo Page-Brin a eBay e Craiglist.
